Welcome to your short and sweet English blog. I will post short English lessons and short stories for adults. "Short and sweet" is a common expression used to describe speech that is direct and uses very few words to express an idea. The formal word for this idea is concise.  Another expression that is similar is "in a nutshell." How would you explain it in a nutshell? Summarize it concisely. You might also call these lessons bite-sized or fun-sized (a reference to miniature candy bars).
